WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Job summary:
We are looking for a skilled data engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server and SSIS to design, develop and maintain database solutions and ETL process. The role involves working with large datasets, ensuring high data quality, integrity, and availability supporting enterprise reporting and analytics requirements. The candidate will also contribute to data migration initiatives, performance tuning, and optimisation of databases and ETL processes to ensure efficient and reliable data operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain databases in SQL Server
- Design, develop and maintain ETL workflows using SQL Server Integraon Services (SSIS)
- Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects to
- implement business logic
- Opmise query performance and tune databases for scalability and efficiency
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize database performance
- Ensure data quality, security and consistency across multiple systems
- Support data migration activities across systems and platforms
- Collaborate with analysts, developers and stakeholders to gather and delivery data requirements
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database, ETL workflow and processes
- Use version control systems to manage code, track changes and support development lifecycle
Required Skills
- 5- 8 years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Integraon
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS
- Strong expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and relational data modelling
- Experience in data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skill and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Experience working in agile / scrum delivery environments
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Lakehouse architectures
- Exposure to Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouse platforms
- Relevant certifications in Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server are an advantage
- Understanding of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices
