About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer (Full Stack) to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in Power BI, Python, SQL, and AI integration, along with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps for CI/CD practices. As a key contributor, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders across underwriting, claims, and finance to translate complex requirements into robust data products that drive strategic decision-making. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects, leveraging the latest cloud and analytics technologies, while maintaining a flexible work environment with three days in the office.
Qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, preferably within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, with a proven track record of designing and implementing data solutions within this platform.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including developing complex semantic models and creating intuitive dashboards for diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and AI/ML integration.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including version control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and familiarity with cloud security and governance best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively translate business needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and lakehouse structures within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Create and publish analysis-ready datasets and semantic models in Power BI that provide actionable insights into key insurance metrics, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Proactively develop automated analytic solutions and incorporate AI/ML capabilities into data products to enhance business value and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate directly with business leaders in underwriting, claims, and finance to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver effective data solutions.
- Adhere to platform standards, optimize data solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability within the Azure/Fabric ecosystem.
- Implement and enforce data governance, documentation standards, and data quality controls across all datasets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for version control, managing branches, pull requests, and release pipelines to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Document technical architecture, workflows, and operational procedures with clear diagrams and runbooks to mitigate operational risks and facilitate knowledge transfer.
