About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer (Azure Databricks/Fabric/Snowflake/Power BI/SQL) to join our dynamic team in a leadership capacity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data solutions across multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles, cloud-based data platforms, and business intelligence tools. As a senior member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data architecture, ensuring high performance, data quality, and security. This position is suitable for professionals with 6 to 15 years of experience who are eager to lead complex data projects, implement best practices, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or related roles.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Power Query, and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed data processing.
- Experience in designing scalable data pipelines and optimizing data architecture for performance and security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in Azure, Snowflake, or Power BI are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines utilizing Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Snowflake to support large-scale analytics initiatives.
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards with advanced DAX formulas, robust data models, and Power Query transformations to meet business reporting needs.
- Implement and manage ETL/ELT workflows ensuring data accuracy, security, and optimal performance across cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Optimize data warehouse architecture, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting performance in multi-cloud environments.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, automate workflows, and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data processing efficiency and reliability.
- Mentor junior team members, share best practices, and lead technical discussions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics, recommending innovative solutions to improve existing systems.
