About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team at BDO India, supporting our digital transformation initiatives for the Delhi Government Ministry. This role requires a professional with over six years of hands-on experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and query optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for working with data, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes.
The primary responsibilities include designing and developing intuitive dashboards using Power BI, writing efficient SQL queries, and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to monitor performance metrics, analyze user behavior, and contribute to ongoing digital initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the government’s data capabilities and supporting strategic planning efforts.
This position is based in Delhi and offers an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects within a reputable organization dedicated to public sector innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Mandatory)
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and data visualization
- Proficiency in Power BI for creating interactive and insightful dashboards
- Strong expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and working with unstructured data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience working in government or public sector projects is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI to support decision-making processes
- Write optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to government initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Monitor system performance and optimize queries for efficiency and accuracy
- Support digital transformation projects by providing data-driven solutions and recommendations
- Assist in setting up data governance standards and ensuring data quality and integrity
