Job Description
Network Operations & Support - SDWAN Cisco/Versa
Experience: 4-6 Years
Location: Chennai/Bangalore
Role Summary
The Network Engineer – SD-WAN is responsible for hands-on delivery, operations and support of enterprise SD-WAN and core networking environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in Cisco and Versa SD-WAN solutions and solid experience in Routing & Switching across enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, support, and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions using Cisco and Versa platforms
- Perform configuration and operational support for Routing & Switching environments
- Troubleshoot WAN, LAN, and overlay/underlay SD-WAN issues
- Support network changes, migrations, and upgrades in production environments
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities
- Collaborate with service providers, OEMs, and internal teams
- Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams
Key Skills & Technology Requirements
- SD-WAN Technologies: Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) and/or Versa SD-WAN (mandatory)
- Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP (mandatory)
- Cisco routing and switching platforms (mandatory)
- Enterprise WAN and LAN troubleshooting
- Basic network security concepts (ACLs, VPN fundamentals)
- Exposure to service provider WAN environments
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- ITIL-aligned operational processes
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in enterprise networking roles
- Strong hands-on experience with SD-WAN and Routing & Switching
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Strong ownership and operational discipline
Other Qualification And Requirement
Any degree or relevant education is must. This role requires working at customer locations based on business needs.
