Job Title: Senior Billing Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Billing Engineer to oversee the billing process across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate quantity take-offs, client billing, subcontractor billing, invoice verification, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely and accurate financial documentation.

This role is critical to the commercial success of projects and involves coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly client invoices based on project progress and contract terms.
• Monitor, evaluate, and verify executed quantities on-site against BOQ and drawings.
• Manage subcontractor billing, including verification, certification, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with project teams for Work Completion Certificates, progress measurements, and site updates.
• Prepare and maintain billing logs, aging reports, and collection status reports.
• Communicate with client billing engineers, consultants, and site teams to ensure timely approval and submission of invoices.
• Ensure all billing processes comply with internal financial procedures and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Maintain proper records of all billing-related communications and approvals.
  
  

Required Skills Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, government contracts, and standard contract clauses.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech – Civil) or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in billing, quantity surveying, or commercial functions in construction projects.
• Experience in handling client billing and subcontractor billing for multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and quantity take-offs.
• Familiarity with contract management, including FIDIC or government contracts (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing/ERP software.
• Good understanding of project costing, budgeting, and financial control.
