Job Role: Senior Brewer/Host– Café
Role SummaryThe Senior Brewer is responsible for ensuring top-quality beverage preparation, maintaining consistency across all brews, leading and training junior staff, and innovating new recipes to enhance the café’s menu. The role also involves maintaining equipment, reducing waste, and ensuring customer satisfaction while upholding the café’s brand standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Minimum 12th pass; Hospitality Management (HM)/ Barista Certificate, students preferred.
· Work experience: 2–4 years in café/F&B operations.
· Strong knowledge of brewing techniques and coffee beans.
· Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.
· Good communication skills with focus on guest service.
· Flexible for rotational shift timings.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):KRAs:
· Prepare and oversee high-quality coffee & specialty beverages. Innovate and introduce seasonal or signature drinks. Conduct regular tastings to maintain standards
· Mentor and train junior brewers/baristas. Ensure junior staff follow recipes, hygiene, and café SOPs. Conduct skill workshops evaluations.
· Supervise cleaning schedules and maintenance of brewing equipment. Ensure hygiene audits and food safety compliance. Reduce equipment downtime by preventive checks.
· Manage coffee bean stock, milk, and consumables. Ensure wastage control and optimal usage of raw materials.
· Engage with customers to understand preferences.
· Represent the café brand during events, tastings, or barista competitions.
