Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Senior Backend Developer at PPStack. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable back-end systems and APIs to support our EdTech and career empowerment platforms. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing application performance, and ensuring security and reliability. Additionally, the role involves debugging and troubleshooting issues, implementing best coding practices, and driving backend architecture improvements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js
- Experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL options like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- In-depth understanding of API design and development (RESTful APIs, GraphQL)
- Proficiency in building secure and scalable web applications with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Express.js
- Knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Bonus: Familiarity with EdTech platforms, AI/ML integration, and microservices architecture
