Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, remote Venture Capital Analyst position that bridges the gap between high-level financial intelligence and proactive business development. Significant sales experience is mandatory, as this role requires an analyst who can not only crunch numbers but also aggressively source high-potential deals and "sell" the StartupLanes value proposition to top-tier founders.
The analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on startups, industry trends, and market opportunities. Beyond traditional financial modeling and investment memo preparation, a primary responsibility is proactive deal sourcing and outreach. You will lead the "front-end" of the investment funnel—identifying, contacting, and building rapport with entrepreneurs. You will support the investment team in evaluating business models while maintaining and growing a robust network of investors and stakeholders.
Qualifications- Mandatory Sales & Outreach Experience: Proven track record in business development, high-ticket sales, or lead generation. You must be comfortable with cold outreach, pitch presentations, and relationship-selling.
- Financial Rigor: Strong skills in Financial Modeling, Data Analysis, and Business Valuation.
- Market Intelligence: Experience in Market Research, Industry Analysis, and the ability to spot investment opportunities before they become mainstream.
- Communication Mastery: Excellent report writing and presentation skills; you must be able to articulate complex financial data into a persuasive investment case.
- Strategic Thinking: Deep knowledge of Venture Capital, Startups, and the mechanics of scaling a business.
- Technical Proficiency: High attention to detail and proficiency with financial tools, CRM software, and analytical platforms.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Background: Prior experience in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or high-end financial sales is highly preferred.
