About the Opportunity
Join a global leader in aerospace innovation within our Next Generation Avionics (NGA) organization. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our product development group in Bangalore to develop advanced features and functionality for our latest, state-of-the-art integrated cockpit offerings. You will apply deep engineering fundamentals to solve complex problems in flight deck technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Utilize C++ and Model-Based Development (MBD) to create high-reliability avionics software.
- System Architecture: Analyze customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, and perform functional integration testing.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure software meets rigorous aviation standards, including working with ARINC 661 systems and SCADE modeling.
- Requirement Management: Develop, validate, and verify software-level requirements using tools like IBM Rational DOORS NG and Atlassian JIRA.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Interface with diverse cross-functional teams, including Equipment Engineering, System Leads, and global stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Agile Leadership: Drive efficiency using Agile development processes to eliminate barriers and manage program roadblocks.
Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in system, software, or hardware product engineering as a technical lead.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expertise in ARP4754A processes and aerospace-specific software lifecycles.
- 5+ years of experience in avionics platform systems engineering (Flight Management, Displays, or Platform Software).
- Proven experience with functional decomposition and large-scale, complicated aerospace programs.
- Strong understanding of Avionics architecture (Systems and Software integration).
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is highly desirable.
