About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong Database Administration (DBA) skills to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our aerospace infrastructure. You will work across engineering and data teams to build resilient systems, automate operations, and maintain mission-critical databases. This role is part of a global 24x7x365 team focused on distributed-systems challenges and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Reliability Engineering: Define and manage service SLOs/SLIs, track error budgets, and lead preventative actions for reliability bottlenecks.
- Observability & Telemetry: Implement metrics, logs, and traces using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Build actionable dashboards with runbooks.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Manage global infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure Key Vault.
- Incident Management: Lead on-call rotations and drive blameless Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Automate rollback/roll-forward procedures.
- Performance & Capacity: Conduct load/resilience testing and manage cost optimization for Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) clusters.
- CI/CD Automation: Create standardized, reusable pipeline templates using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to empower development teams.
Qualifications REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, STEM).
- 4+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE).
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (specifically Terraform).
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP).
