About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineering Manager to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams focused on avionics software systems. This role involves driving technical solutions, managing development activities, and delivering high-quality, scalable products aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams working on avionics software development
- Drive technical solution design, architecture, and interface definition
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Oversee system and software requirements development and validation
- Support system integration, testing, and certification activities
- Identify and resolve system-level issues, including performance and integration challenges
- Participate in design reviews and engineering milestones
- Promote continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery timelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Avionics, or related field)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace or avionics systems development
- Strong expertise in C/C++ programming
- Experience with model-based development tools (e.g., MATLAB, SCADE)
- Experience in system-level testing, integration, and requirements development
- Knowledge of avionics standards such as DO-178B/C and ARP4754
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Bitbucket, SVN)
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
