Analytics Shiksha is an AI-powered data analytics learning platform focused on real-world problem solving, industry projects, and interview readiness. We bridge the gap between college education and actual job requirements through hands-on learning and mentorship.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact SQL Trainer who can teach college students using real-world datasets, business scenarios, and industry use cases—not just theory.
This is not a typical teaching role.
We need someone who can think like a data analyst and teach like a mentor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Delivery
• Conduct weekday SQL training sessions for college students
• Teach SQL from basics to advanced:
• Joins, Subqueries, CTEs
• Window Functions
• Query Optimization
• Ensure sessions are interactive, engaging, and application-focused
2. Real-World Teaching Approach
• Use industry datasets (E-commerce, Fintech, Retail, etc.)
• Convert business problems into SQL queries:
• Example: “Why are orders dropping in a region?”
• Teach students how to think, not just write queries
3. Hands-on Practice & Mentorship
• Design and assign practice exercises & mini case studies
• Guide students in solving problems instead of giving direct answers
• Conduct doubt-solving and revision sessions
4. Interview Preparation Support
• Train students on:
• SQL interview questions (company-level difficulty)
• Query writing under time constraints
• Conduct mock interviews
5. Performance Tracking
• Track student progress and identify weak areas
• Provide feedback to improve learning outcomes
Required Skills
Must Have:
• Strong expertise in SQL:
• Complex joins, window functions, aggregations
• Experience working with:
• MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server
• Hands-on experience in real-world data analysis
Good to Have:
• Experience in tools like:
• Excel / Python / Power BI
• Exposure to:
• Business analytics / product analytics / marketing analytics
Industry Experience Requirement
• Minimum 2+ years of industry experience as:
• Data Analyst / Business Analyst / SQL Developer
• Should have worked on:
• Real datasets
• Business problem solving
• Ability to share practical use cases from industry
Teaching & Communication Skills
• Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, easy language
• Strong storytelling approach to teaching
• Can engage and manage a classroom effectively
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students
