Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SQL Developer role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The SQL Developer will design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to support core business applications and reporting needs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting database performance issues, ensuring data integrity and security, and collaborating with development, analytics, and infrastructure teams to implement robust data solutions. The role also involves participating in requirement gathering, assisting in database design and schema changes, and supporting ETL processes and data migration activities. The SQL Developer will maintain documentation for database structures and processes and contribute to continuous improvement of data-related workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL development skills, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
- Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and database optimization.
- Skills in data modeling, schema design, and understanding of normalization, indexing, and query performance tuning.
- Exposure to ETL, data integration, and reporting tools, with the ability to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Understanding of database security, backup and recovery practices, and basic knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in enterprise or digital transformation environments is an advantage; familiarity with cloud databases or SAP/ERP back-end integration is a plus.
