About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake / SQL Developer with a strong background in ETL processes and proficiency in Python or Java. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions that support analytics and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with data and analytics stakeholders to enable seamless data exploration, reporting, and decision-making capabilities. You will be responsible for optimizing Snowflake SQL queries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the performance and reliability of data pipelines. Additionally, you will contribute to code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to uphold quality standards. Occasional debugging of backend code in Python or Java is also part of this role, requiring a versatile skill set and a problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience in data warehousing, SQL development, and ETL processes. Strong expertise in Snowflake is essential, along with advanced SQL skills and the ability to work efficiently with large datasets. A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytical SQL functions is required. Experience with Talend ETL technology and integrating UI API data warehouse workflows is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication abilities. A background in Python or Java for backend debugging is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot Snowflake SQL queries, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data and analytics teams to facilitate reporting, metrics development, and data exploration within the application environment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing practices, and deployment procedures to maintain high-quality standards.
- Debug and resolve issues in Python or Java backend code as needed, supporting overall system stability.
- Design and implement efficient data pipelines and workflows using Talend ETL technology.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout all data processing activities.
- Maintain documentation of data workflows, schemas, and best practices for team reference.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions.
