How you will make an Impact

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the Information Technology Intern, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing our websites and employee intranet site to ensure optimal performance, usability and security. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands on experience in web development and IT support within a dynamic work environment.

What you can expect to learn in this role

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsbilities will be to:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of company websites and the employee intranet site to identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze website performance metrics and provide reccommendations for enhancements.
  • Ensure websites and intranet site are user-friendly, accessible, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement updates and improvements.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving website-related issues.
  • Document findings and create detailed reports for management.
  • Stay updated with the latest web technologies and best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Ideal Experience and Skills

  • Experience with website performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles

Education and Certifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology

Travel and Working Environment

  • Onsite schedule
