About the role

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Principal Product Manager to join the Audiobooks Mission. In the Audiobooks Mission, we believe that a foundation to a great consumer product is a great creator experience. We build products and tools for Authors and Publishers to manage their presence on Spotify, and get unprecedented access to information about their content performance. We also collaborate with Missions across the company to ensure that we deliver a cohesive audiobooks listener experience and we invest in format innovations, specific to the Audiobooks content type. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team from Design, Engineering, Product Insights, and Program Management to complete the roadmap for the audiobooks business at Spotify, focused on consumer-facing features that rely on tight integration and alignment with authors and publishers. You will own the creation of the product strategy for each feature, and ensure that the product stays aligned to the strategy. What You'll Do Own vision, goals, strategy, roadmaps and impact working towards the Audiobooks Vertical Mission Work closely with engineering, design, legal, analytics, and product, within your team and across the organization, to make sure your team understands what our short-term and long-term goals are, what the strategy to get there is, and ensure that the full end-to-end experience is top notch Commence qualitative and quantitative research, product analysis and market insights to craft impactful product strategies Ensure all features are closely aligned to both consumer and author/publisher needs Prioritize new features based on customer needs, business potential, and technical scalability Set and follow metrics that advise us of the success of the products and their impact on Spotify Ensure your team has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support Who You Are You have significant experience in building and shipping consumer-facing software products together with teams of designers, engineers and data scientists. You deeply understand the nuances of both consumer- and creator-facing product management You have deep experience in making hard data-informed decisions (A/B experimentation, user testing, data analysis, competitors and market analysis, defining metrics) You are excited about working in a new, fast-paced and innovative space and are passionate about the opportunity to help authors and publishers grow their audience and make a living off of their audiobooks You’re a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types You apply systems thinking and analytical expertise to develop product strategies You have a team-first approach and have developed techniques to ensure your teams are happy, motivated and productive You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones You are a highly creative problem solver; you always provide new ideas on how to do things better Where You'll Be We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST Time Zone as long as we have a work location.
