The Spotfire to Power BI Migration Technical Lead is responsible for leading and managing the technical execution of Spotfire report migrations to Power BI from India. This role ensures controlled migration delivery, technical quality, and adherence to defined migration patterns, while guiding Power BI and Spotfire engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end technical execution of Spotfire → Power BI migrations for assigned report groups
Drive migration activities including report assessment, complexity classification, remediation, conversion, validation, and handover
Provide technical oversight and reviews across Power BI models, DAX translation, visuals, and performance optimization.
Ensure delivery aligns to approved migration standards, tooling, and architectural guardrails
Manage and mentor India‑based Spotfire and Power BI engineers, breaking scope into clear technical tasks
Track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively escalate risks or blockers to the Engineering Lead and Delivery Manager
Support release readiness, UAT support, documentation, and controlled decommissioning of migrated Spotfire reports
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands‑on experience with Spotfire (reports, data connections, expressions, performance tuning)
Strong experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visuals, performance optimisation)
Prior experience in BI migration or modernisation initiatives ( Good to have)
Proven ability to lead technical delivery teams and assure quality in an enterprise environment
