Role Summary
We are looking for individuals who specialize in event sponsorship sales to secure sponsors for a series of digital B2B C-suite roundtable events. This role is strictly commission-based (percentage of sponsorship revenue closed). The person will identify companies that sponsor executive events, pitch sponsorship packages, and close deals. Success in this role means consistently bringing qualified sponsors and converting them into confirmed partnerships. The role operates as an external commercial partner working closely with our team on sponsor targeting and positioning. We are only interested in candidates who have direct experience selling sponsorships for conferences, summits, or executive events. This is not a general sales role.
Responsibilities
• Identify companies that actively sponsor B2B events, conferences, or executive communities.
• Prospect marketing, partnerships, and growth leaders responsible for sponsorship budgets.
• Present the event concept, audience profile, and sponsorship packages clearly to prospects.
• Manage the full sponsorship sales process from outreach to signed agreement.
• Negotiate sponsorship terms and pricing while protecting event positioning.
• Maintain a structured pipeline of potential sponsors and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure sponsors clearly understand deliverables, audience profile, and event format.
• Close sponsorship agreements and coordinate with the internal team for onboarding sponsors.
• Focus only on relevant sponsors whose products or services align with the audience.
• Operate on a revenue-share model where compensation is tied directly to sponsorship deals closed.
Qualifications
• Must have proven experience selling sponsorships for conferences, summits, or executive events.
• Applicants with only general B2B sales experience will not be considered.
• Demonstrated track record of closing sponsorship deals with companies.
• Existing network of marketing, partnerships, or brand leaders who sponsor events.
• Strong ability to pitch sponsorship value and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Clear written and verbal communication with senior decision-makers.
• Experience managing sponsorship pipelines and structured sales processes.
• Ability to work independently and close deals without daily supervision.
• High professional integrity when representing events and negotiating sponsorships.
• Must be comfortable working on a commission or percentage-based compensation model.
