Position Overview
The C++ Software Engineer, Early in Career role is an exciting opportunity to work on building core components of Splunk's Enterprise Platform. In this role, you will work on a team of talented engineers to build, maintain, and enhance mission critical components that power Splunk's industry-leading platform. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about software engineering and want to work on a broad range of problems, from low-level systems programming to high-level distributed systems.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and processes.
- Deliver clear, well-structured, and well-documented code.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0-3 years of relevant industry experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proficient in C++ and familiar with modern C++ features and best practices.
- Experience with software design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing and debugging techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, databases, and cloud technologies is a plus.
