Technical Project Manager

What is the role?

We are seeking for a Technical Project Manager to lead and manage agile projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of agile methodologies, exceptional technical expertise, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Project Planning and Execution: 
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. 
• Agile Methodology Implementation:
  • Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure agile principles and methodologies are adhered to and continuously improve agile practices within the team. 
  • Facilitate the development and prioritization of the product backlog.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate project status, progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management. 
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder requirements. 
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, team members, and other departments.
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Resolve conflicts and ensure a productive and positive team dynamic.
• Risk management:
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Develop contingency plans and ensure proactive measures are taken to address potential obstacles.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. 
  • Generate and present comprehensive project reports, including status updates, performance metrics, and post-project evaluations.
  • Implement process improvements based on project retrospectives and performance data.

• Collaborates - Close partnership with our Product, Design and Engineering teams will be key! Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nimble Learning - We're looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment. You're not afraid to get your hands dirty and learn through experimentation when faced with fresh challenges. You're always on the pulse of the latest ML trends and immersing yourself in new technologies. 
• Functional/ Technical Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA preferred. (Min 8+ years’ experience with AI/ML exposure)
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
     
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, MS Project, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development, system architecture, or IT infrastructure.
     
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
