Description
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the management and administration of the warehouse operations, which includes receiving, delivery, storage, stores, inventory, surplus, expediting, and administrative sections. Must possess a high degree of knowledge and technical skills in all areas of the warehouse operations. Must comply with all operating policies and procedures concerning warehouse operations. Must be a highly effective communicator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Organizes and creates storing practices and locations for materials to utilize space efficiently.
· Keeps track of inventory to ensure departments have necessary equipment and supplies.
· Receives and reviews various forms such as physical inventory lists, packing lists, check out sheets, and information about upcoming jobs and assignments.
· Maintain and manage safety standards throughout the facility
· Maintain security and integrity of the entire facility and all inventory
· Responsible for receiving and auditing incoming inventory to ensure proper items and amounts were received.
· Suggests modifications, where appropriate, that would improve warehouse efficiency, productivity and utilization.
· Assists employees in locating and checking out materials needed for their jobs.
· Prepares and/or processes a variety of documentation such as stock level reports and safety data material sheets.
· Refers to inventory lists, packing lists, check out lists, and upcoming job lists.
· Operates a variety of office equipment and machinery such as trucks and forklifts.
· Ensures that forklift operation is performed in a safe manner. Ensures that daily forklift inspection logs are accurately maintained.
· Interacts and communicates with various groups of people such as employees in other departments, coworkers, outside companies, uniform service, and outside contractors.
· Responsible for maintaining the warehouse area and yard.
· Responsible for fire extinguisher maintenance.
· Maintains warehouse area and yard.
· Meet Company expectations and goals.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have High School diploma or GED. Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse skills and knowledge necessary. Valid forklift license required. Experience with inventory tracking and experience in facility and equipment maintenance preferred. Experience working with limited supervision preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid in-state Driver’s License with required auto insurance and acceptable MVR (motor vehicle report).
