Reports to (role): M1 - Technical Architect Manager

Objective of the Role

The Staff Technical Architect is responsible for designing and implementing high-level solutions that align with the company's business goals and technical strategy. This senior role focuses on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of IT systems and applications, while providing strategic technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Architectural Strategy: Develop and drive the architectural strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements.
  • Innovation Leadership: Lead innovation initiatives, exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies and architectural patterns.
  • Complex Solution Design: Design and oversee the implementation of complex, high-impact architectural solutions that address critical business needs.
  • Technical Governance: Establish and enforce technical governance frameworks, ensuring consistency and quality across architectural practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.
  • Scalability and Performance: Ensure that architectural solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, and high performance, meeting both current and future demands.
  • Technology Roadmaps: Develop and maintain technology roadmaps that guide the evolution of the company's technology stack.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that support the organization's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and support to other architects and senior engineers, fostering their technical growth and development.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with architectural decisions and implementations.
  • Security: Implement and enforce robust security measures in architectural designs to protect systems and data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of architectural processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing updates on architectural decisions, project status, and technical challenges.
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of architectural solutions, including diagrams, specifications, and guidelines.
  • Compliance: Ensure that architectural solutions comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and analyze performance metrics related to architectural solutions, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage architectural projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Autonomous Work Culture: Actively contribute to creating an autonomous work culture by taking initiative, being self-motivated, and collaborating effectively in an agile and lean environment.
  • Spin Culture Ambassador: Embody and promote Spin's values in every action, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Legacy System Modernization: Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems, ensuring they meet current and future business needs.
  • Technical Advocacy: Act as a technical advocate within the organization, promoting best practices and the adoption of new technologies.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development, system architecture, or related fields, with at least 5+ years in an architectural role.
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with architectural frameworks and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices, and containerization technologies.
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • English Level: Advanced

Preferred

  • AWS Certifications.
