Company Description Elara Childcare Therapy Centre and Day Care is a specialized childcare and therapy center located in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, Bangalore. The center offers a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children can grow, learn, and develop essential life skills. Elara provides a wide range of services, including Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, Sensory activities, Special Education, and Daily Life Skills training. The center also runs School Readiness programs and full-day daycare, supporting both children and their families with comprehensive care. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Therapist role based in Bengaluru South. The Speech Therapist will assess children’s speech, language, and communication abilities, and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to their needs. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions based on regular evaluations. The role involves close collaboration with occupational therapists, special educators, behavior therapists, and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s development. The Speech Therapist will also maintain accurate documentation, contribute to goal-setting in multidisciplinary meetings, and provide guidance to families on home-based strategies for continued improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Speech Therapy, with experience in pediatric or child-focused settings.
- Knowledge of Speech and Communication Disorders, including assessment and intervention techniques.
- Understanding of Language Disorders and strategies to support receptive and expressive language development.
- Experience in managing Dysphagia or feeding-related challenges in children is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional registration or license (as required by local regulations).
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with families and caregivers.
- Strong record-keeping skills, empathy, patience, and a child-centered, inclusive mindset.
