Svatantra is an integrative neuro rehabilitation center located in Bengaluru, focused on inpatient neuro rehab to support recovery and functional improvement for individuals with neurological conditions. The center specializes in treating conditions like stroke, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries, post-ICU weakness, and neuro-degenerative disorders, offering personalized therapies to improve mobility, communication, swallowing, cognition, and overall quality of life. Svatantra provides in-house multidisciplinary care, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and swallow therapy, psychological counseling, Ayurveda, acupuncture, yoga, naturopathy, and music therapy.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech & Swallow Therapist based in Bengaluru. The primary responsibilities include assessing and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders resulting from neurological conditions. The therapist will implement individualized intervention plans, conduct therapy sessions focusing on improving communication and swallowing functions, and monitor patient progress through regular assessments. Interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals and supporting patient education will also be integral to the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Speech Therapy techniques, particularly within the context of neurological rehabilitation
- Expertise in managing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders
- Skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of Dysphagia and related swallowing disorders
- Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, with relevant certifications
- Prior experience in neuro rehabilitation or a similar healthcare setting is a plus
