Role Description The Speech Language Pathologist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for children with neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and developmental delays. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering one-on-one and small group speech therapy sessions. The role involves close collaboration with behavior therapists, psychologists, educators, and families to integrate speech and language goals into broader intervention programs. The Speech Language Pathologist will document progress, adjust therapy strategies based on ongoing assessment, and actively involve parents and caregivers through training and regular feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati, requiring consistent presence for direct child and family interaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech assessment, including the ability to design and deliver individualized treatment plans.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Communication Disorders and Language Disorders, with experience in pediatric and neurodevelopmental populations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge and clinical skills in managing Dysphagia, including safe feeding practices and swallowing interventions where relevant.
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (or equivalent) from a recognized institution; valid professional registration or licensure as applicable.
- Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and developmental delays in multidisciplinary or early intervention settings is highly beneficial.
- Strong observational, documentation, and case management skills, with the ability to adapt therapy approaches based on ongoing progress.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with families and cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical care, and cultural sensitivity in a diverse community context.
