Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist located in Chennai. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct assessments to identify communication, speech, language, and swallowing needs, and develop individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, monitoring progress, and documenting assessments, goals, and outcomes. The role also involves collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, educating families and caregivers on home-based strategies, and participating in case discussions and review meetings. The Speech Language Pathologist will support both children and adults, contribute to evidence-based practices, and uphold ethical and person-centered care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning.
- Expertise in managing Speech and Communication Disorders across pediatric and adult populations.
- Ability to evaluate and treat Language Disorders with evidence-based, individualized therapy approaches.
- Competence in assessing and managing Dysphagia, including safe swallowing strategies and interventions.
- Recognized degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Relevant registration or licensure as required by local professional and regulatory bodies.
- Strong documentation, observation, and clinical reasoning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Experience in rehabilitation or special needs settings is an advantage.
