Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and enthusiastic Fine Art Teacher specializing in Theatre for the Primary Years. The role involves nurturing students’ confidence, creativity, communication, and performance skills through engaging theatre and drama activities. The teacher will create an inclusive and expressive learning environment that encourages imagination, collaboration, and stage presence among young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging Theatre and Drama sessions for Primary students.
- Introduce students to acting techniques, voice modulation, expressions, movement, storytelling, and stagecraft.
- Organize classroom performances, assemblies, annual events, and theatre showcases.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, teamwork, and confidence-building through performing arts.
- Design age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with school objectives and learning outcomes.
- Integrate theatre with interdisciplinary learning wherever applicable.
- Prepare students for competitions, performances, and cultural events.
- Maintain student portfolios, assessments, and performance records.
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for school events and productions.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Theatre) / BFA in Theatre / Diploma in Speech and Drama is mandatory.
- Additional certifications in Theatre Arts, Performing Arts, or Drama Education will be an added advantage.
- Prior experience teaching Theatre/Drama to Primary students preferred.

Experience
