Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester
Location: Hybrid (4 Days in Office) – Austin, TX
Duration: 18 months
Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Tester will develop and support test cases, create automation scripts using industry-standard tools, and determine the best automation techniques for specific applications.
Must-Haves:
Programming: Hands-on coding experience with Java or an equivalent object-oriented programming (OOP) language.
CI/CD & DevOps: Understanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologies.
Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Financial industry or with a Trading/Brokerage services company.
Mobile Development:
2+ years of experience working in mobile application development teams.
2+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Appium.
3+ years of experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated UI test scripts using XCUI for iOS and/or Espresso for Android mobile applications.
Software Development Lifecycle: Knowledge of SDLC processes.
Testing Tools: Experience with industry-standard tools for logging bugs (JIRA) and managing test cases (Zephyr).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering field.
Certifications: Relevant technology certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and maintain automated UI test scripts.
Support test cases and automation scripts using common automation testing tools.
Analyze and determine the best automation techniques for specific applications.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure software quality and performance.
Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA.
Additional Notes:
Must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Appium.
Strong Java experience is required. The hiring team is specifically looking for someone with solid Java expertise who is open to transitioning into a testing role.
