About the company
Genotek is a Dubai-based manufacturer of expansion joint covers (EJCs) and entrance matting systems, sold in India as Dr. Fixit Genotek in partnership with Pidilite Industries. Our products are specified on major commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across India — Reliance Jamnagar, metro rail authorities, private commercial developers, and government institutions.
We're scaling our India specification team and hiring three Specification Managers — one per region — to own the design-stage specification funnel in their zone.
The role
You will be the face of Dr. Fixit Genotek with structural consultants in your region. Your job is simple to describe and hard to do well: make sure Genotek is specified in every relevant project in your zone before the tender is published.
This means:
- Building and maintaining active relationships with the 15–25 key structural consultants in your region
- Knowing which projects each consultant is currently working on, and the status of each
- Proposing Genotek products during the design stage, before specifications are locked
- Getting Genotek into smart specs, tender documents, and BOQs
- Coordinating with Pidilite's sales team when orders convert, and independently when they don't
- Reporting weekly on consultant coverage, project pipeline, and specification wins
You'll have Pidilite's network and the Dr. Fixit Genotek brand behind you — but you are responsible for owning your zone.
The three zones
North India (base: Delhi NCR) — ₹60,000–1,00,000/month
Primarily government and large-institutional market. Covers CPWD, PWD, major private developers (DLF, Godrej, M3M), and consultants across Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Jaipur. This is a multi-touchpoint market — CPWD → contractor → consultant → PMC all need to align for a product to get approved. We need someone who understands the navigation and can be trusted to get things through the system without escalating every small hurdle. Senior profile; existing CPWD panel relationships a major plus.
Who we want (must-have for all three roles)
- 3–5 years minimum specifying building materials with structural consultants. This is non-negotiable. If you've only sold to architects, interior designers, or retail distributors, this role is not for you.
- Background in one of: expansion joint covers, waterproofing systems (membranes, liquid-applied), construction chemicals (adhesives, sealants, structural repair, grouts), protective coatings, fire barrier systems, or entrance matting.
- You can name 5+ structural consultants in your zone from memory, and at least 3 projects you personally got specified in the last 12 months.
- Self-motivated and follow-up-disciplined. In this role, there is no one reminding you to call the consultant again next week. You own your calendar and your pipeline.
- Honest communicator. "Bijoy, I'll handle it" should mean you actually handle it. Over-promising and quiet failure is the single biggest reason specs don't convert.
Nice-to-have
- Existing relationships with Pidilite's P-LUB team members
- Technical understanding of concrete movement, seismic detailing, or waterproofing systems
- Working knowledge of tender portals (CPWD eProcurement, state PWD sites)
- AutoCAD basics (to read and mark up specifications)
