Senior Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Coordinator

About the Role

  • Travel: May require up to 50–75% travel depending on the needs of the practice or region 
  • Reports to: RCM Director 
  • Key Relationships: General Manager, VP of Revenue Cycle 

What You'll Do


As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you’ll help lead and optimize processes that support the financial health of our organization.

  • Oversee core revenue cycle functions, including claims processing, patient billing, accounts receivable, and denials management 
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements 
  • Resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues with confidence and sound judgment 
  • Monitor AR performance, aged balances, and revenue trends, implementing improvements as needed 
  • Lead denials management efforts, including root cause analysis and appeals strategy 
  • Serve as a trusted resource for team members, providing guidance on processes and compliance 
  • Prepare and present reports and performance insights to leadership 
  • Partner with clinical, coding, and finance teams to ensure accurate charge capture and optimal reimbursement 
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall revenue integrity 
  • Support audits and compliance reviews, helping implement best practices and corrective actions 
  • Evaluate and implement tools, technology, and workflow enhancements to improve operations 
  • Stay current on regulatory updates, payer requirements, and industry best practices 
Requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare or dental revenue cycle functions 
  • At least 5 years of experience in billing and claims resolution 
  • At least 5 years of experience in dental front office RCM functions 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field 
  • Professional certifications such as CPB, CMB, CDC, or CDBS (or willingness to obtain if requested) 
  • Strong knowledge of medical/dental billing, coding, claims processing, and payer requirements 
  • Experience developing policies, making operational decisions, and improving workflows 
  • Familiarity with EHR/RCM systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar) 
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of improving revenue performance 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
