About the Role
As part of the Transformation Team, the Business Intelligence & Automation Developer will play a key role in delivering digital transformation initiatives across the organisation. You will design and develop business intelligence solutions, automate business processes and work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement through data, automation and technology.
This is a hands-on role that combines Business Intelligence development with process automation, helping the organisation make smarter, data-driven decisions while reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Design and implement automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes and eliminate manual tasks.
Work with business teams to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
Develop data models and reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
Write and optimise SQL queries to support reporting, analysis and data integration.
Integrate data from multiple business systems, ensuring data quality, consistency and governance.
Support transformation projects by providing data analysis, reporting and automation solutions.
Work collaboratively with project managers, business analysts and operational teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, process documentation and user guides.
Monitor, maintain and continuously improve BI and automation solutions.
Champion the use of the Microsoft Power Platform across the organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
Strong experience building workflows and automations using Microsoft Power Automate.
Excellent SQL development skills.
Experience with data modelling, DAX and Power Query.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Understanding of business process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Experience developing solutions using Power Apps.
Knowledge of SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse.
Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
Experience working within transformation, change or programme delivery teams.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
