🧭 Job Purpose
The role is responsible for the advanced aspects of tool making, including design, fabrication, maintenance, and improvement of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. The role plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of production processes.
🛠 Key Functional Responsibilities
• Conduct sophisticated maintenance and inspections of dies and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Expertly identify and troubleshoot complex issues with dies and related tooling and utilize advanced diagnostic skills to address wear, misalignment, damage, or other issues, devising effective strategies for rectification.
• Apply extensive experience and knowledge to modify existing dies and tools, enhancing performance or adapting them to meet new production requirements.
• Oversee and participate in the design and construction of new tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Employ advanced engineering principles and creativity to support production and process improvements.
• Ensure that all tools, dies, and related equipment meet specific standards and requirements before their use in production.
• Set quality benchmarks and lead quality assurance activities for tool-making operations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, modifications, and performance issues of all tools and dies.
• Serve as a key liaison between production teams, engineers, and technicians.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging extensive experience to suggest and implement enhancements to tool designs or manufacturing processes that boost productivity, minimise waste, or elevate quality.
• Lead by example in promoting a safe working environment and conduct safety training sessions for team members.

🎓 Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Equivalent
Experience
3 years minimum of experience in the relevant field
