Job Description: Observability Engineer
Experience Required
- 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing observability solutions, including Synthetic Monitoring, Real User Monitoring (RUM), Log Monitoring, and APM.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience with industry‑leading observability platforms such as Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, and ELK/Elasticsearch.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux administration.
- Hands‑on expertise in at least one observability tool: Datadog, New Relic, or Elasticsearch.
- Solid understanding of data ingestion, log parsing, visualization, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting experience using Python and Shell.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Experience in dashboard creation and integration with ITSM tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain observability platforms for log aggregation, metrics, and visualization.
- Build and manage data pipelines, custom filters, and dashboards aligned with business and operational needs.
- Support Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and containerized workloads.
- Troubleshoot observability and performance issues in collaboration with DevOps, Development, and Security teams.
- Document processes and contribute to automation and continuous system improvements.
