Learning Technology Specialist – AI, Reporting, & Systems (India) Position Summary
Maximus’ Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) function seeks a
Learning Technology Specialist – AI, Reporting, & Systems to support the design, build-out, and sustainment of AI-enabled learning technology solutions across the enterprise. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Learning & Organizational Development, this role will operate primarily behind the scenes but will have a significant impact on the efficiency, scalability, and insight generation of our L&D programs.
The Learning Technology Specialist will serve as an internal reporting and systems expert, leveraging
Microsoft Power Platform and M365 AI capabilities to automate learning operations, enhance analytics, and enable smarter decision-making across L&D.
The ideal candidate is a
systems thinker who enjoys building low code solutions, is comfortable working with
AI-assisted workflows and analytics, and balances hands-on technical work with documentation, governance, and ongoing sustainment. Success in this role is measured by improved efficiency, data reliability, and the sustained adoption of learning technology solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the build, enhancement, and maintenance of learning technology solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into learning metrics, program performance, and operational data.
- Execute data validation, basic data modeling, and documentation activities to support accurate and reliable reporting.
- Support the administration and upkeep of SharePoint lists, data structures, permissions, and integrations with Power Platform solutions.
- Maintain existing apps, dashboards, and automated workflows, applying updates and fixes based on established standards and guidance.
- Collaborate with L&OD stakeholders and technical partners to understand requirements and support timely delivery of agreed-upon solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency by reducing manual steps through automation or system enhancements.
- Create and maintain documentation and user guidance to support adoption, governance, and ongoing sustainment of learning technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities Power Platform Solution Delivery
- Design and optimize Power Platform solutions (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) that improve operational efficiency, with a strong emphasis on scalable, low-code solutions.
- Build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model driven) that support learning processes, integrating with SharePoint, Power BI, and M365 services
- Create and manage Power Automate workflows, including automation for reporting processes, notifications, and KPI alerts where appropriate.
Reporting & Dashboards
- Support the completion, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Power BI dashboards that provide visibility into learning metrics, program performance, and operational data.
- Partner with L&OD leaders to translate reporting needs into clear, reusable, and stakeholder ready dashboards, including AI assisted insights where appropriate.
- Apply consistent data modeling and visualization practices to ensure dashboards are reliable, sustainable, and stakeholder-ready.
Data, Integration & Systems Management
- Apply basic data quality, validation, and documentation practices to ensure reporting and AI-assisted insights are reliable and trustworthy.
- Design and administer SharePoint lists and repositories, including list structure, permissions, and integrations with Power Apps and Power BI.
- Support integrations across Power Platform components to ensure data consistency and efficient workflows.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to replace manual L&D processes with AI assisted or automated workflows.
Build, Enable & Sustain
- Take a build + enable + sustain approach to learning technology solutions by:
- Maintaining and optimizing existing apps, dashboards, and automations
- Applying governance, security, and access controls
- Ensuring AI enabled solutions are transparent, auditable, and appropriate for enterprise use
- Support the responsible use of AI by documenting assumptions, limitations, and usage guidance for L&D stakeholders.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in determining when AI-assisted solutions add value versus when deterministic or manual approaches are more appropriate.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Collaborate with U.S.-based L&OD stakeholders and IT partners to align on requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Incorporate user feedback to improve usability, adoption, and sustainability of learning technology solutions.
- Provide light enablement and knowledge transfer through documentation and support as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications Education & Experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Experience using or supporting AI features within Microsoft 365 or Power Platform (e.g., AI Builder, AI connectors, Copilot assisted work).
- 1–4 years of experience working in a Learning & Development, HR systems, or training support environment.
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts and experience working with structured datasets from LMS or HRIS systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Systems, Business, Education, or equivalent professional experience).
- Requires understanding of, or familiarity with, U.S. business culture.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical and AI-assisted solutions for non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills
- Practical experience building Power BI dashboards
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven) and integrations.
- Experience creating and maintaining Power Automate workflows, including AI connectors where appropriate
- Experience designing or administering SharePoint lists, permissions, and data structures
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD).
Global L&D Exposure
- Primary stakeholders for this role are located in the U.S.
- Prior experience supporting U.S.-based stakeholders is strongly preferred.
- Work hours must allow for meaningful overlap with U.S. time zones to support collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide learning or HR technology solutions.
- Familiarity with learning analytics, reporting, or evaluation data.
- Exposure to governance practices within Microsoft 365 or Power Platform environments.
- High learning agility and interests in responsible AI application and continuously improving systems and processes.
