Role Description
Role Summary
The Delivery Manager – Cyber Security owns end-to-end delivery of one or more cyber security engagements — managed security services, transformation projects, or staff-augmentation programs — for enterprise clients. The role is accountable for delivery quality, financial health, SLA/KPI performance, talent management, and client satisfaction across the assigned security portfolio.
Acting as the operational bridge between the client's security leadership, our practice/CoE teams, and the delivery workforce, the Delivery Manager ensures outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and regulatory commitments. The role suits a leader who combines hands-on cyber security domain depth with strong program/delivery discipline and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Service Management
- Own the full delivery lifecycle for assigned engagements — planning, execution, governance, and closure — against agreed scope, timeline, and cost.
- Drive SLA/KPI adherence for managed security services (SOC/MSS, IAM operations, vulnerability management, GRC, incident response, AI Security) and lead continuous service improvement.
- Establish and run delivery governance: daily operations reviews, weekly status, monthly service reviews (MSR), and quarterly business reviews (QBR) with client stakeholders.
- Manage transition and onboarding of new scope/services with clear cutover, knowledge-transfer, and stabilization plans.
- Ensure incident, problem, and change management processes are followed; own escalation management and root-cause resolution for major incidents.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary delivery point of contact for client security leadership (CISO office, security architects, IT operations).
- Build trusted-advisor relationships; understand the client's threat landscape, risk appetite, and business priorities, and align delivery accordingly.
- Manage expectations, communicate proactively on risks and issues, and protect client satisfaction (CSAT/NPS).
- Identify and shape opportunities for account growth in partnership with the sales and account teams.
Financial & Commercial Ownership
- Own the financial health of the engagement — revenue, cost, margin, forecasting, and invoicing accuracy.
- Manage the resource pyramid, utilization, and productivity to protect and improve margins.
- Support pre-sales, effort estimation, solutioning, and SOW/MSA compliance for renewals and change requests.
People & Talent Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a delivery team of security analysts, engineers, consultants, and leads (typical span 100+, across shifts where applicable).
- Own capacity planning, hiring, skill development, cross-skilling, and succession for critical roles.
- Drive engagement, retention, and performance management; build a strong security delivery culture.
Security Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure delivery complies with contractual security obligations, client policies, and relevant standards and regulations (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, DPDP Act).
- Own delivery-side risk management — maintain risk registers, remediation plans, and audit readiness.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality frameworks and secure delivery practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's/MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years in IT/cyber security, including 10+ years managing cyber security delivery, managed services, or large security programs in an IT services / consulting environment.
- Proven track record managing multi-vendor, multi-location, and/or 24x7 security operations.
- Demonstrated ownership of engagement financials (revenue/margin) and senior client relationships.
