ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing Specialisation Head is accountable for building a best-in-class marketing
program that produces graduates capable of securing ₹9 LPA+ roles in brand management,
digital marketing, market research, product marketing, and strategic marketing functions.
This role demands equal fluency in the classroom and in the corporate boardroom.
ROLE PURPOSE
To design and deliver a Marketing specialisation that closes the gap between management theory and the rapidly evolving demands of modern marketing roles in India.
To build an ecosystem of live projects, industry mentors, and case-based learning that makes every
marketing graduate placement-ready from Day 1.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, own, and continuously update the Marketing specialisation curriculum across Trimesters 3to 6 — ensuring it reflects current industry realities
• Integrate digital marketing, consumer behaviour, brand strategy, market research, and go-to-
market planning as core competency pillars
• Recruit and manage marketing faculty — both core academics and visiting industry practitioners
(brand managers, CMOs, digital leads)
• Develop and publish a minimum of 2 India-specific marketing case studies per academic year
using local brands and campaigns
• Build and sustain live project partnerships with FMCG, D2C, advertising, and digital marketing
companies every trimester
• Lead and mentor the Marketing Club — organising brand audits, campaign competitions, and
market research projects
• Coordinate closely with the Director of Corporate Relations to ensure marketing students are
interview-ready for ₹9 LPA+ roles
• Track and incorporate marketing sector hiring trends — digital performance, MarTech, growth
marketing, and brand strategy
• Ensure students build tangible portfolios of real marketing work (campaigns, decks, research
reports) by Term 6
• Represent the Marketing specialisation in academic council meetings, accreditation
documentation, and industry advisory board sessions
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• MBA/PGDM with Marketing specialisation from a recognised, accredited business school
• Minimum 12 years of combined academic and/or industry experience in marketing
• At least 4 years of hands-on industry experience in brand management, digital marketing, or
strategic marketing roles
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver curriculum that is case-based and industry-integrated
• Strong existing relationships with marketing and brand leaders for live projects, guest lectures, and
placements
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms — Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, CRM
tools
PREFERRED / HIGHLY DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Industry experience at leading organisations such as HUL, P&G, Nestlé, ITC, Zomato, Swiggy, or top advertising agencies
• PhD or peer-reviewed research publications in marketing, consumer behaviour, or brand
management
• Certification in digital marketing — Google, HubSpot, or equivalent
• Experience writing or teaching with case studies from HBR, IVEY, or self-authored India cases
• Familiarity with MarTech platforms — Salesforce, HubSpot CRM, or similar
