To develop finance graduates who combine deep financial theory with hands-on modelling proficiency,
sector knowledge, and the professional polish demanded by top BFSI and consulting recruiters.
To position the Finance specialisation as a credible pipeline for leading banks, NBFCs, investment
firms, and consulting practices through curriculum quality and sustained corporate relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and own the Finance specialisation curriculum — covering corporate finance, financial
modelling, valuation, derivatives, portfolio management, credit analysis, BFSI fundamentals, and
fintech
• Ensure students are trained in essential finance tools — Excel (advanced), financial modelling
templates, Bloomberg basics (if available), and Python for finance
• Recruit and manage finance faculty — including CA, CFA, and FRM-qualified visiting practitioners
from banking and consulting
• Build live project partnerships with banks, NBFCs, PE/VC firms, wealth management firms, and
consulting organisations
• Lead and oversee the Finance Club — stock pitch competitions, valuation challenges, trading
simulations, and financial analysis projects
• Prepare students specifically for finance interviews — case-based valuation questions, financial
statement analysis, and sector knowledge assessments
• Stay current with RBI and SEBI regulatory developments, capital market trends, and fintech
evolution to update curriculum every trimester
• Develop India-specific finance case studies — corporate restructuring, M&A scenarios, IPO
analysis, and credit evaluation cases
• Coordinate with the Director of Corporate Relations on BFSI recruiter relationships and placement
strategy for finance students
• Represent the Finance specialisation in academic council, accreditation processes, and industry
advisory board engagements
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• MBA/PGDM Finance from a recognised institution; CA (Chartered Accountant) or CFA (Level 2
minimum) strongly preferred
• Minimum 12 years of experience with at least 4 years in industry — corporate finance, investment
banking, equity research, or financial services
• Deep expertise in financial modelling, DCF/comparable valuation, and financial statement analysis
— must be able to teach this hands-on
• Strong understanding of Indian capital markets, banking regulations, and BFSI sector dynamics
• Demonstrated ability to build student competency in finance through structured, outcomes-based curriculum design.
PREFERRED / HIGHLY DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• CFA Charterholder or FRM designation
• Investment banking, equity research, treasury, or private equity experience at a recognised firm
• PhD or peer-reviewed publications in finance, economics, or financial markets
• Existing relationships with BFSI and consulting recruiters — HDFC Bank, Kotak, Axis, Goldman
Sachs India, Deloitte, EY, McKinsey, etc.
• Familiarity with fintech, algorithmic trading, and digital lending — emerging areas driving finance
hiring
