We’re Hiring: Special Educator
We are looking for a Special Educator to join our team and work closely with children and adolescents with diverse learning, developmental, and behavioral needs.
Role Overview:
The educator will be responsible for conducting assessments, planning and implementing individualized education programs, and working collaboratively with families and professionals to support academic, functional, and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and functional assessments
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct sessions both individually and in group settings
- Work with children and adolescents with learning difficulties, developmental delays, and academic challenges
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies based on individual needs
- Support development of literacy, numeracy, attention, and classroom readiness skills
- Implement strategies for behavior management and classroom engagement
- Provide parent guidance for carryover at home
- Maintain documentation, track progress, and modify goals as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Special Education (B.Ed. Special Education or equivalent)
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents with special needs
- Strong understanding of individualized teaching strategies and curriculum adaptation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work consistently, patiently, and adaptively
