Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Education Teacher based in Visakhapatnam. The Special Education Teacher will create and implement individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs and disabilities, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include teaching core subjects, conducting assessments, collaborating with other teachers and school staff, and maintaining open communication with parents or guardians. The teacher will also mentor primary school students in both academic and social development, ensuring they achieve their potential.
Qualifications
- Experience in Special Education and working with students with Disabilities
- Strong Teaching skills, particularly for Primary School level
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and ability to adapt instructional techniques to diverse learning needs
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for empowering students with unique educational challenges
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Certification in Special Education or related qualifications is a plus
- Prior experience in international school settings is beneficial
