Role Description The Special Education Teacher will work full time on-site at a KLAY centre in Hyderabad, supporting children with diverse learning needs in an inclusive early childhood setting. This role involves assessing individual learning requirements, designing and implementing personalized education plans, and adapting curriculum and classroom activities to accommodate different abilities. The teacher will collaborate closely with general educators, caregivers, and school leadership to provide integrated support, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation. Daily responsibilities include delivering engaging instructional sessions, using appropriate interventions and accommodations, fostering social and emotional development, and ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment. The role also includes regular communication with families, participation in team meetings and professional development, and adherence to KLAY’s policies and child safeguarding standards.
Qualifications :
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Special Education and in working with children with diverse Disabilities, including learning, developmental, and behavioral needs.
- Candidates should possess solid Teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or Middle School levels, with the ability to adapt instruction for varied learning styles.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, engaging families, and documenting student progress clearly and professionally.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, certification or formal training in special needs education is highly beneficial.
- Additional strengths such as classroom management, empathy and patience, skills in individualized education planning, familiarity with inclusive education practices, and experience in early childhood settings are preferred.
