Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Special Educator to work one-on-one with a child with ASD in the above location. The focus of this role will be on developing functional academics, communication skills and supporting daily living activities (ADLs). This is a freelance, contract-based role with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver personalized special education sessions in the child’s home environment
• Focus on building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities
• Support the child’s independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines)
• Conduct informal assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
• Develop engaging, age-appropriate learning tools and methods
• Maintain clear session records and update the Carely team regularly
• Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
• Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
• Respectful, non-judgmental, and family-focused approach

Selection Process:

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to conduct a virtual consultation session.

Compensation:

• Per-session rate (to be discussed based on experience and availability)
• Payments made by Carely directly

Other Details:

• Session frequency and schedule will be discussed at the time of assignment.
• All sessions will be coordinated through Carely.
• This is a freelance/contract role with no fixed monthly hours.
