WE ARE HIRING | Special Advisor – Railways Procurement & Manufacturing
Vekaria Engineering Works Pvt. Ltd., a manufacturing powerhouse with substantial industrial infrastructure and heavy "mother machinery," is expanding its footprint into the railway manufacturing ecosystem .
We are seeking to invite a distinguished, retired senior railway professional to join us as a Special Advisor – Railways Procurement & Manufacturing for our dedicated Railway Vertical.
Targeted Profiles
We are explicitly looking to associate with esteemed, retired senior-level officers (IRSME / IRSS cadres) with robust backgrounds in production units, technical design, and material management:
- Retired General Managers (GMs) of Railway Zones or Production Units (ICF, RCF, CLW, BLW, RWF, etc.)
- Principal Chief Materials Managers (PCMM) / Chief Materials Managers (CMM)
- Principal Chief Mechanical Engineers (PCME) / Chief Mechanical Engineers (CME)
- Senior RDSO Officials / Technical Approval Experts (Former Executive Directors / Senior EDs)
Scope of Guidance & Expectations
As our Special Advisor, you will advise us on long-term railway business development strategy and execution for rapid growth. Key focus areas include:
- Procurement & Process Command: Taking complete ownership of navigating and executing all necessary processes for purchasing, vendor approvals, tenders, and procurement systems.
- Technical Approvals: Successfully driving and securing official technical approvals by aligning our plant capabilities and official railway frameworks.
- Ecosystem Navigation: Navigating our entry and strategic positioning within the complex railway procurement and manufacturing ecosystem.
- Systems & Compliance: Providing high-level insights into IREPS, tendering routes, and official procurement processes.
- Approvals & Onboarding: Advising on RDSO documentation pathways, vendor registration, and qualification strategies.
- Network & Synergy: Assisting in identifying right product opportunities and fostering alignment with OEMs, Production Units, and PSUs.
- Strategic Counsel : Nurturing our internal teams to help build a robust, quality-driven railway vertical.
- Strategic Navigation: Providing high-level counsel on inter-departmental coordination, ensuring our company's expansion aligns seamlessly with railway protocols, policies, and the complex technical and component approval processes.
- Administrative Diplomacy: Representing the company’s interests with the same dignity and integrity you brought to your public office, leveraging existing relations with various officers to foster strong institutional relationships.
