Job Description
We are looking for an experienced FP&A Specialist to support Medline Europe (EMEA). The ideal candidate will support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and financial analysis activities while directly partnering with business stakeholders and onshore teams.
This role is focused on planning support, variance analysis, financial insights, stakeholder interaction, and process improvement within a global/shared services environment.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Work closely with business and onshore FP&A teams to support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Prepare and maintain planning templates, financial models, and supporting schedules.
- Support forecast updates, budget consolidations, and planning submissions.
- Maintain documentation of assumptions and planning methodologies.
- Support annual operating plan and long-range planning activities as required.
- Financial Analysis & Business Support:
- Analyze financial performance by reviewing trends and variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Prepare variance analysis, bridge analysis, and financial summaries for business stakeholders.
- Present financial analysis, planning outputs, and key observations to business and onshore stakeholders.
- Support month-end and quarter-end FP&A activities and related analysis.
- Provide financial data support for operational and business requirements
- Stakeholder Management:
- Directly collaborate with business stakeholders and onshore teams to support planning and analysis activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and support deliverables.
- Respond to stakeholder queries and planning requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across teams and geographies.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification of existing processes.
- Support implementation of process improvements and reporting enhancements.
- Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis, planning requirements, and business initiatives as required.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to queries from business and onshore stakeholders.
Skills And Experience
- Experience working cross-functionally and collaboratively in a global organization.
- 5+ years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, or finance business support roles.
- Experience in shared services/GCC environment preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills and practical understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong skills in MS Office applications including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle PBCS / EPBCS for budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
- Exposure to Power BI, SAP, and data analytics tools preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with business stakeholders and present financial information effectively.
- Continuous improvement mindset with focus on process efficiency and automation. Flexible and collaborative team player.
Educational Qualifications
- CA/CMA or MBA from a reputed institute.
- 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Hands-on experience with Oracle PBCS / SAP / Power BI / data analytics tools preferred.
