Role PurposeThe Spare Parts Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of spare parts operations within the AMC and aftermarket business for MEWP equipment. This includes spare parts identification, sourcing, pricing, proposal preparation, and inventory planning to ensure maximum equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
The role acts as a technical-commercial bridge between service teams, vendors, procurement, and customers, ensuring cost optimization, timely availability, and accurate execution.
Key Responsibilities1. Spare Parts Identification & Technical Support- Interpret spare parts manuals and equipment catalogues
- Identify correct part numbers for maintenance and breakdown support
- Assist service engineers with technical clarifications
- Maintain and update parts database across equipment models
Equipment Covered:
Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts (Articulated & Telescopic), Spider Lifts, Vertical Mast Lifts
2. Spare Parts Proposal & Quotation- Prepare accurate and competitive spare parts quotations
- Calculate pricing including procurement, logistics, and margins
- Support AMC proposals with spare parts estimation
- Ensure accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and costing
3. Vendor Sourcing & Procurement Coordination- Coordinate with OEMs, dealers, and suppliers for procurement
- Identify alternate sourcing options for cost and availability optimization
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Track vendor lead times and delivery commitments
- Work closely with procurement team for PO processing
4. Commercial Analysis & Pricing- Analyze procurement costs and define selling price strategy
- Maintain spare parts pricing and margin database
- Monitor profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Compare OEM vs alternate sourcing options
5. Inventory Planning & Availability- Identify critical and fast-moving spare parts
- Support inventory planning and stocking strategy
- Monitor stock across warehouses
- Track consumption trends and optimize inventory turnover
6. Service Team Coordination- Work closely with service engineers for parts requirements
- Ensure quick turnaround for breakdown support
- Prepare spare parts kits for preventive maintenance
- Provide technical support for field teams
7. Customer Support- Respond to customer spare parts inquiries
- Provide technical and commercial clarifications
- Follow up on quotations and order conversions
- Build strong relationships with customer maintenance teams
8. Documentation & Systems Management- Maintain spare parts database and catalogues
- Track quotations, orders, and supplier records
- Update ERP and inventory management systems
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability

Qualification & ExperienceEducation:
Diploma / Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
Experience:
- Experience in construction equipment, MEWP, cranes, or material handling preferred
Preferred Background:
- OEM spare parts systems
- Equipment dealers or rental companies
