Role Description The Spare Parts Incharge is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for overseeing all aspects of spare parts inventory and availability. Day-to-day tasks include managing stock levels, monitoring incoming and outgoing parts, and ensuring timely ordering and replenishment. The role involves coordinating with workshop technicians and service advisors to provide the correct parts for each job, verifying part quality and authenticity, and maintaining accurate records in the inventory system. The Spare Parts Incharge will also handle vendor follow-ups, assist with pricing and billing for parts, support regular stock audits, and help implement process improvements to reduce shortages and excess stock. This position works closely with operations to ensure smooth service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience in spare parts management or storekeeping in an automotive or similar service environment.
- Knowledge of automotive components and spare parts, including basic understanding of vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in inventory management, stock reconciliation, and use of ERP or inventory software.
- Strong coordination and communication skills for working with technicians, service advisors, and suppliers.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to maintain organized records and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Indore and handle physically active tasks such as parts handling and shelving.
- Problem-solving skills to address part shortages, delays, and quality issues efficiently.
- Prior experience in the automotive after-sales or workshop environment is preferred; a relevant diploma or degree in automotive, mechanical, or logistics/warehouse management is an added advantage.
