Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Guindy for a Space Science Educator. The Space Science Educator will conduct astronomy and space science workshops, lead stargazing sessions, and assist in planning and delivering educational programs for students and visitors at Astroport destinations. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, delivering interactive learning experiences, and simplifying complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences. The candidate will collaborate with other educators to provide an engaging and informative experience, ensuring a blend of education and adventure for participants.
Qualifications
- Background in Science Education with strong knowledge of Physics and Mathematics
- Professional experience as a Qualified Teacher with expertise in delivering science-based learning
- Skills in Lesson Planning and creating engaging, hands-on educational experiences
- Strong communication and presentation skills suitable for diverse age groups
- Passion for astronomy and space science with a commitment to fostering curiosity and knowledge
- Prior experience in astronomy education or adventure-based learning is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Astronomy, Education, or related fields
