Summary of position: Assist potential borrower with choosing the right mortgage product and successfully completing the mortgage application process. |
Key job functions: (Includes current duties, primary objectives, and responsibilities which are critical to the successful performance of the position) - Proactively solicit and sell residential mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with business referral sources, and existing and prospective clients via calls to potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business
- Transact business in conformance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA, and Fair Lending Practices. Consistently works in accordance to published department sales and services standards.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by overseeing loan process from origination to close and provide on-going communication to customers and business partners
- Achieve established production goals
- Monitors status of loans in the pipeline to ensure loans are closed timely
- Identifies opportunities to refer customers and/or potential customers to other units of the bank to provide services that meet their needs
- Actively participate in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of the bank

Qualifications: - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment
- Strong understanding of company loan policies and guidelines, as well as all federal and state regulations
- Exceptional decision-making ability, superior written and verbal communication skills, and superb interpersonal and customer service skills required
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed/ adjustable loans, Bridge Loans, Non-Conforming Loans, FNMA and FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills and ability to create and maintain long-term relationships with current and potential customers

Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 3 years of mortgage origination or lending experience required
- Must have Mortgage Origination Officer License from NMLS
