Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Clinical Engineering Manager The Clinical Engineering Inventory Control Specialist’s primary job function is to support the continued operation of all Clinical Engineering equipment and processes . This person will be responsible for all Clinical Engineering accounting functions along with all inventory and asset management. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required.
• Bachelor's of Science or Bachelor's of Business Administration preferred.
Licensure:
• Drivers License
Experience:
• Three years experience in hospital environment. Experience with Clinical Engineering Equipment used by hospital desired. Familiar with Clinical Engineering technologies and equipment.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Maintains and reconciles Clinical Engineering Budget and Procurement Card Expenditures.
2. Assist Client Departments with pricing and ordering all Clinical Engineering related equipment and supplies.
3. Work with Clinical Engineering vendors and SOMC Buyers to complete purchases and resolve purchasing issues.
4. Assist in maintaining an accurate Clinical Engineering Asset Database.
5. Purchase, Receive, label, inventory and organize all Clinical Engineering equipment.
6. Maintain proper inventory of supplies, forms and equipment.
7. Works in conjunction with Clinical Engineering technicians for warranty coverage items.
8. Assist Clinical Engineering Manager with scheduling equipment preventive maintenance.
9. Follows all documented policies/procedures for updating the department's asset management system.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
