Position Title: Event Sales Associate (Level 1)
– Party & Events Industry
Position Tasks & Activities:
Customer Interaction & Sales Support
- Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries
• Assist customers in planning small-scale events
• Recommend rental equipment based on customer needs
• Provide accurate quotes and create rental reservations
• Explain rental items, pricing, delivery fees, and policies
Order Processing & Administration
- Prepare contracts and obtain signatures and deposits
• Maintain accurate customer files and reservations
• Ensure all information is entered correctly into the system
• Follow up with customers per company policy
Sales Team Support
- Assist Event Rental Consultants with larger orders
• Prepare preliminary quotes and basic event layouts
• Support showroom operations and customer experience
Showroom & General Duties
- Maintain showroom displays and cleanliness
• Assist with promotions and merchandising
• Support other departments when needed
Nature of the Work
This is an entry-level sales position focused on customer interaction, basic event planning, and administrative support. The role serves as the first point of contact for many clients and supports the broader sales team.
Working Conditions
Primarily office and showroom-based with occasional light lifting and customer interaction.
Education, Skills & Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer and math skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Bilingual a plus
• High school diploma or GED preferred
